Circadian rhythm Cycle length: 24 hours Examples: human sleep-waking cycle, body temperature
Infradian rhythm Cycle length: more than 24 hours Examples: human female menstrual cycle, hibernation, seasonal effective disorder
Ultradian rhythm Cycle length: less than 24 hours. Examples: alternation between stages of NREM and REM sleep during the night (90 mins)
