Name & explain H&S RISK ASSESSMENT | 3.1. The Risk Assessment is a Legal requirement in working environment as it forms a crucial part of a Health and safety management system. 3.2. The aim of a risk assessment is to evaluate hazards and to subsequently remove them or minimise the level of risk by adding adequate control measures, where they are necessary. This ensures a healthier and safer workplace. 3.3. Review the assessment and reassess if necessary, especially after there were significant changes in the workplace or within a process, after an accident or an ill-health incident has occurred, after a near-miss was reported, it is also important to ensure employees are trained on the risk assessment and evidence of training is included in the form of an attendance register. |
