AC Tesla Alternating Current It allowed electricity generated in power stations to be raised to a high voltage and transported over enormous distances with almost no energy losses. This established itself as the best way of distributing electricity.
DC Edison Direct current A more expensive and inefficient system due to the dissipation of part of the energy in the form of heat. Nowadays, this type of current is mainly used for elements that are powered by batteries.
Innovation Tesla Our entire mass communication system is based on the system that Tesla designed.
Innovation Edison Edison's clearest legacy to the world was his invention factories, which divided the process into small tasks performed by legions of workers.
