Question Answer
What is pressure? Pressure the force that is being exerted on an object. e.g.. if i were pushing a car I would be the pressure
What us the equation for pressure? force (N) ---------------- area (m*m) N=Newtons
What two things change the pressure on an object: 1. area 2. force
What is homogeneous mixture? e.g gatorade. Looks the same through out to be homo. *homo = same
What heterogeneous? e.g. fruit salad Loods different with each scoop or though out *hetro = different
what is buoyancy? Whether something floats or not.
How do I know if something will be buoyant in water? 1. Check density of object 2. Compare with density of water (1 g/cm^3) 3. IF LESS than water's density, THEN floats IF MORE than water's density, THEN sinks
What is the formula for density? mass (g) ------------------- volume (cm^3)
What is the density of water? 1 g ------- cm^3 (that means cm cubed)
