| Compound-complex sentence | Is two simples sentences with a conjunction and a subordinate clause. e.g. I brought along the chicken dish and Ann brought along the fish even though I had asked her not to earlier in the day. |
| Minor sentence | Is an incomplete sentence that makes sense to use. We understand the meaning. e.g Stop , Seriously etc. |
| Imperative | When somebody tells you to do something like a command e.g Get the ball!, Stand!, Sit down! |
