| Run-Length Encoding | A method of compressing data by eliminating repeated data. |
| Dictionary-Based Encoding | A method of compressing text or binary files by assigning commonly occurring patters a token and using that to represent them, while storing the original values once in a dictionary or map so the data can be reconstructed later. |
