Absolute Location is a point on the earth's surface expressed by a coordinate system; latitude and longitude. It's an exact location
Relative Location is a point or place in a relation to another point or place
Compass Rose a circle graduated to degrees or quarters and printed on a chart to show direction
Map Scale refers to the relationship (or ratio) between distance on a map and the corresponding distance on the ground
Map Key (Legend) is included with a map to unlock it. It gives you information needed for the map to make sense
Hemisphere is a half of the earth. It divided into northern and southern halves by the equator or into western and eastern halves by the prime meridian
Line of Latitude measures north and south positions between the north and south poles. Lines of Latitude are all parallel to each other (Parallels)
Equator an imaginary line drawn around the earth equally distant from both poles, dividing the earth into northern and southern hemispheres and constituting the parallel of latitude 0°
Lines of Longitude (Meridians) run between the north and south poles. They measure east-west position.
Prime Meridian the 0° meridian from which the other meridians or lines of longitude are calculated, usually taken to pass through Greenwich

Anarchy is the absence of government and absolute freedom of the individual
Dictatorship is a government where one person rules with complete authority
Absolute Monarchy is a government ruled by a king or queen, and is not bound by a constitution
Constitutional Monarchy is a government ruled by a king and queen but the Parliament makes the law
Oligarchy is a government ruled by a group of people
Democracy is a governing system in which a country's people elect their leaders and rule by majority
Democratic Republic (United States of America) is a country that is both a republic and a democracy. Power comes from the people and they select the rulers
Limited Government is a government in which everyone, including those in authority, must obey the laws.
Unlimited Government is a government in which no limits are imposed on the ruler's authority. The leaders don't have to follow the same laws as everyone else.
Economy is the process or system by which goods and services are produced, sold, and bought in a country or region
Traditional Economy is a system in which traditions, customs, and beliefs shape the goods and the services produced, as well as the rules and ways of their distribution
Command Economy is an economy in which production, investment, prices, and incomes are determined by a government
Free Market Economy is a system in which the prices for goods and services are set freely between buyers and sellers. Government does not interfere
Mixed Economy is a system that combines free economy and economies run by the government
