Frederick Douglass: An African-American reformer and abolitionist. He also published the newspaper, The North Star, in 1848.
Harriet Tubman: The most famous leader of the Underground Railroad
Nat Turner: Led a Slave revolt in Virginia, killing whites on plantations.
