Question | Answer |
Sometimes animals can be as brave as people. | A knight called Horymír ruled at a castle called “Neumětel” at Housina. It was at times of the prince Křesomysl, when people didn’t work at fields. Everyone was moving to places where ores resided. Horymír didn’t like it. People were starving. Horymír was later on caught by Křesomysl, who had decided to execute Horymír. Before his death Horymír asked if he could ride his beloved horse Šemík 3 times in the courtyard. Křesomysl accepted. While Horymír was riding his horse he whispered something to his ear. Šemík started running towards the walls and jumped over the walls into the Vltava river. Šemík swam on the other side of the Vltava and took Horymír into Neumětel. Later, Šemík has died from his inner wounds and Horymír has created him a tombstone. |
