Parable A short story told by Jesus to teach people about the kingdom of God. It is a story with meaning
Miracle An amazing event preformed by Jesus that showed the power of God.
Kingdom of god A way of living based on Jesus' message of truth, justice, peace and love.
Evangelist Someone who spreads the good news of God. The 4 gospel writers are evangelists: Matthew, Mark, Luke and John and they were all people of faith.
Table fellowship Jesus chose to share his meals with all to show gods kingdom was for everyone.
Discipleship Following the call of Jesus in thought, word and deed. After the Pentecost the disciples became known as apostles.
Messianic Expectations The Jewish people were waiting for a special event, or expecting, a messiah, who would free them from Roman rules and establish a new Jewish kingdom.
