Question Answer
What is an electric current? A flow of electric charge
What are conductors? Conductors are substances which allow electric current to flow through them freely
What are insulators? Insulators are substances which do not allow current to pass through them freely eg. wood
What is a battery/ power pack? An electrical pump that pumps electrons around a circuit
which regions are electrons pumped from and to? from a region of high electrical pressure(negative terminal) to a region of low electrical pressure (positive terminal)
What is the electrical pressure difference between the negative and positive terminals called? The potential difference/ voltage. (measured in volts (V) using voltmeter )
What is used to measure an electric flow/ current and its unit. A current (I) is measured in amps (A) using an ammeter.
