What are some examples of homeostasis? Water - balancing out the water intake and amount lost through urine, street and breath Body temperature - Get rid of excess body heat when you hot but then retain it when your cold
What are body enzymes optimum temperature? 37 degrees
How does the brain regulate temperature? There is a thermoregulatory centre in the brain acting like a personal thermostat
How does the thermoregulatory centre in the brain work? It contains receptors that are sensitive to blood tempreatureand receives impulses from the skin providing skin temperature
What happens to the body when you too hot? The hairs lay flat, lists of sweat i produced, Vasodilatation occurs
What happens to the body when your too cold? The hairs stand up - insulating air keeping it warm very little swear is produced, vasoconstriction occurs and you shiver to generate heat.
what happens to the body if you suffer under very low temperatures for a long period of time? If you get way too cold for a long time you could get hypothermia and could possibly die
what happens to the body if you suffer under very high temperatures for a long period of time? You become dehydrated, get heat stroke and possibly die
