What does energy do? | Energy moves or heats something, makes a noise or changes an object's shape |
What is work? | Work is the effects of using energy. If an object is moved or changes in shape, work has been done |
What are the forms of energy? | Kinetic, heat, light, sound and electrical |
What is kinetic energy? | It's the energy of movement. Anything that moves has kinetic energy. |
What is heat energy? | A measure of the total kinetic energy possessed by particles in a substance |
What is light energy? | It's the form of energy that's visible |
What is sound energy? | Energy that travels as vibrating waves and can be heard as sounds by our ears |
What is electrical energy? | Energy that causes charged particles to move |
What are joules? | The unit used to measure energy |
How much energy do you need for a healthy lifestyle? | About the same energy that you require for your body to function |
What is potential energy? | Potential energy is energy stored by an object |
What are the four types of potential energy? | Gravitational potential energy, chemical energy, elastic potential energy and nuclear energy |
What is chemical energy? | Energy stored in substances. Chemical energy your body gains from eating food. |
What is gravitational potential energy? | It's energy stored in an object while it's above the ground |
What is elastic potential energy? | Energy stored in a squashed or stretched string |
What is nuclear energy? | Energy stored in the small particles that make up all matter |
Who is the blade runner? | Oscar Pistorius |
