Question Answer
What is speed? How fast you're going
What is velocity? How fast you're going in a certain direction
what is does it mean when the line is flat? The object is stationary
What does it mean when the line is straight? The object is travelling at a steady speed
What does a steeper graph indicate? The object is travelling faster
What does a downwards line mean? The object is travelling backwards
What do curves represent? Acceleration or deceleration
What does a steeper curve suggest? The object is speeding up
What does a leveling of curve indicate? The object is slowing down
What is the formula to work out speed on a distance time graph? Vertical axis / horizontal axis
What is acceleration? How quickly velocity is changing
What is the formula for acceleration? Acceleration= change in velocity/ Time taken (v-u)/a*t
