What did Semmelweis' proposal do to death rates and why? They decreased as the anti-septic solution killed bacteria on the doctors hands
Why did the number of deaths in the maternal ward increase when Semmelweis left the hospital? Because his bacteria theorem wasn't proved
What has an overuse of antibiotics done? People are more susceptible to develop antibiotic-resistance strains
What causes an epidemic? A new disease that no one is immune against and so it rapidly spreads
