The dog with a burning touch in its mouth.	The Dog with burning torch in its mouth connects to the tradition about Dominic’s mother and her special dream about her unborn son. She dreamt that instead of giving birth to a little boy she give birth to a dog. The dog ran over the earth with the torch in its mouth, symbolising the vision that Dominic’ would one day undertake
Rosary	The Rosary represents when Dominic received a vision from Our Lady who showed him a wreath of roses, representing the rosary. She told him to say the rosary daily, teach it to all who would listen, and eventually the true faith would win out. symbolising everyone should prayer in the name of god
The star on Dominic's forhead	A star on the forehead is one of the attributes given to St. Dominic because his godmother had a vision of his with a star shining from his forehead and shedding light over the entire world
The Book	The Act of the confirmation of the Order of preachers is shown by St Dominic carrying the book.
