Question Answer
What is the formula triangle for speed? The triangle is set up with distance (D) over speed (S) and time (T)
What is friction? Friction is a force that acts opposing towards other forces.
Name a good thing that friction does It helps to slow things down and it helps to grip objects, a common example is the bike.
Name a bad point on friction It limits the top speed and wastes energy
What is air and water resistance ? Resistance is the force that pushes objects backwards and air and water resistance is when this procedure is carried out in these conditions.
What can objects do to face less resistance? They can be streamlined to avoid resistance.
What five things can forces do? 1.Speed things up or start moving 2.Slow things down or stop moving 3.Change direction 4.Turn 5.Change shape
Do forces need to touch to interact? No, forces like magnets and static electricity are good examples of this
What are forces measured in? Newtons
What do balanced forces produce? No change in movement
What do unbalanced forces do? Change the speed or direction of moving objects
