Who were the Big Three? | Georges Clemenceau-France. David Lloyd George-Britain. Woodrow Wilson- USA. |
What were each of their views? | Clemenceau- Punish the germans for the war and get revenge and compensation. He hated that Germany had invaded France. He wanted security by keeping Germany weak. Lloyd George- wanted to strengthen british navy and punish germany but not too much (worried germany would turn communist). Also wanted to keep trade with Britain. In public speeches he lied to please the public "squeeze the german lemon til the pips squeak" Wilson- drew up list of "14 point" about world peace. Idealist who wanted self-determination. Didn't suffer as bad at BR and FR and wanted to treat germany fairly. |
