Tell the shortened story of Thomas Beckett. | Beckett was the kings closet friend and adviser and they worked well together. One day Beckett was named archbishop of Canterbury and the king saw this as a chance to take the power of the church. As time pasted Beckett became very religious and when the king asked if he could run the church Beckett said no causing the kind to fly into a rage of anger as he had anger issues and cried who will rid me of this troublesome priest. 4 knights heard him and wanted to please there king and killed Beckett. |
