How does Hydroelectricity work? Stored water is passed through a turbine, causing the generator to move, therefore providing electrical energy to the national grid
What is pumped storage? A way of storing energy that has already been generated
What is a pump on a hydroelectric dam? After the water passes through the turbine, it collects back into a secondary reservoir. This is then pumped back into the main reservoir at night, so its all saved and used efficiently
