Hidden Curriculum | Things that are not directly taught in lessons. Ideas and beliefs are transmitted through teachers |

Reserve Army of Labour | An extra labour force that is brought in during economic growth and thrown out in down turn |
Compensatory Education | Special measures that aim to create a level playing field for those who are disadvantaged |
Marketisation of Education | The school system is being bought and sold on the free market. There diversity in the types of schools to do so. eg chains and different types of schools (specialist schools, free schools and academies) |
Parentocracy | Parents have the choice over their children can be educated |
Deschooling | Getting rid of schools and formal systems/ institutions of education |
