What is the formula to calculate the area? Length x width
What is the formula to calculate volume? Length x width x height
What is the formula to calculate perimeter? Length + width + length + width
How do you calculate the mean? The mean, the most commonly used average. You calculate it by adding all the values and dividing by the number of values in the sample e.g. 1+4+7+5+3=20 ÷ 5=4
How do you calculate the mode? The mode, is the most common value e.g 1 2 1 4 5 3 1 Answer = 1
The median is calculated? The median, the mid-point or middle value. Half the values will be above the median and half of them below it. Put in ascending order first. If there is an even number of values, the middle pair are added together then divided by 2. e.g. 8, 7, 4, 3, 2, 1, 1, 6 = 1,1,2,3,4,6,7,8= 3+4=7÷2=3.5
Formula to calculate range? The range is the difference between the highest value and the lowest value
