What are Viruses? Viruses are designed to be harmful to digital devices and can spread easily over networks.
How do you prevent getting Viruses? Keep Bluetooth switched off when not in use.
What is a Cookie? A cookie is a small text file which is used to store passwords and other important information. This makes it easier for others to gain access to your accounts.
How do you stop someone else using your Cookies? Do not set cookies on a public computer, therefore people could access your data.
What is a Unsecured wireless networks? Where other users easily see and use your wireless network.
How do you prevent people from using your wireless network? Secure wireless networks using a password and encrypt data travelling over the network.
What is Phishing? Phishing 'cons' people into believing that an email or text is from a valid organisation so that they give away their username and passwords leading to identity theft.
How do you prevent hackers? Install firewalls, passwords and encrypt the information travelling across networks.
What are the physical threats to a computer? - Theft - Flooding - Fire - Accidental damage
What is Bluejacking? Bluejacking is the process of sending unwanted messages to open Bluetooth connections.
