Married women were dead in the eye of the law
Women couldn't vote
Women had to submit to laws they had no say in

Husbands had legal power over their wives to the point they could beat them without punishment
Divorce and child custody laws favored men
Women had to take property taxes
Jobs closed to women and they could work women were paid less than men make
Women could not work in medicine or law
No college would accept female students
Women could not participate in church affairs
Women were robbed of self-confidence and were totally dependent on men.
Based on these grievances, women of the this time consisted must of a slave or servant to their husbands. They couldn't weren't able to have the education to work and some of the women did work but couldn't make enough to substain their living expenses.
Women expected this declaration to immediately take charge of the problem instantly.
The women continued to fight by protesting and petitioning against the government
Demands
Any law that would affect how happy a woman could be is now void
Any law that dictated that in any way a woman is inferior to a man is now void
A woman is equal to a man
A woman can no longer deny the fact that they are satisfied with how they are living
A man must now support a woman who wants to learn to read and write
The same amount of virtue required in a woman shall be required in a man and they shall be punished as equally as woman for it
Women have the right to vote
The most controversial demand was the demand of suffrage or voting rights.
