  • Phagocytosis A phagocyte cell finds the foreign body, swallowing and digesting it
  • A lymphocyte cell is alerted and produces antibodies specific to the foreign body
  • The lymphocyte becomes a Memory Lymphocyte, "remembering" how to deal with the specific pathogen.
  • Antibodies stick to the pathogens, making them easier to destroy.
