A pathogen attacks the body.
Phagocytosis A phagocyte cell finds the foreign body, swallowing and digesting it
A lymphocyte cell is alerted and produces antibodies specific to the foreign body
The lymphocyte becomes a Memory Lymphocyte, "remembering" how to deal with the specific pathogen.
Antibodies stick to the pathogens, making them easier to destroy.
