Flowchart nodes

  • Common Circuit Symbols
  • Unit 1.1- Electric Circuits
  • Curent
  • The current flowing through electrical components in a circuit is measured in amperes (amps), A, using an ammeter connected in series with the components
  • For components connected in series, the current is the same at any point in the circuit. This means all components in a series circuit have the same current flowing through them
  • Parallel circuits are when components are connected in parallel, the current splits when it reaches a junction in the circuit.
  • No current is lost at the junction, so the total current into the junction equals the total number out of the junction.
  • Parallel
