  1. Where do they gone?
    1. Although living in Myanmar for generations, the government of that country insists that all Rohingyas are illegal immigrants from Bangladesh.
      1. In recent weeks, some 150,000 Rohingyas refugees have fled to Bangladesh, Thailand and India as a result of the illegitimate and totally disproportionate military response to attacks by a Rohingya armed group.
    2. Have the Rohingya been given the status of “refugees”?
      1. No. Because practically nobody wants them as refugees. Quite the opposite thing, everybody around Myanmar qualifies them as immigrants, due to the long periods of time that they have been living in other countries.
      2. What radical violent actions have been taken place?
        1. Murders, performed by the Burmese army in Bangladesh and Myanmar, and during military campaigns of theirs.
          1. The crisis in numbers:
            1. 150,000: approximate number of Rohingyas who fled to Bangladesh during the first two weeks of crisis 1.1 million: number of Rohingyas living mostly in the state of Rajine 27,000: number of people from other ethnic minorities displaced in the state of Rajine 400: minimum number of homicide victims to date, according to the Myanmar government,
          2. Two waves of violence in 2012 caused 140 deaths.
          3. What has been taken place?
            1. In 2014 the UN adopted a resolution urging Myanmar to give citizenship to the Rohingya
              1. Lots of violent acts against the Rohingya community, making them flee from their home.
              2. Where are they planned to be relocated?
                1. They plan relocate tens of thousands to a remote island, despite warnings it’s uninhabitable and prone to flooding.
                2. What ethnic and religious groups are involved?
                  1. Buddhist extremist groups have unleashed a wave of violence against the Muslim group. This is due to the fear that the Buddhist community feels of what they could lose or gain in the new and uncertain political environment of Myanmar
                  2. Who are the Rohingya?
                    1. The Rohingya are about 1.1 million Muslim ethnic-minority group that has lived as a people in Myanmar for centuries. They have been raped, tortured and killed. They have been crowded on boats and ping-ponged between nations that don't want them. They have been forced into labor and have no rights to their land..

                          1. The Burmese military response has allegedly been overwhelming and indiscriminate
                          2. What has the most well-known Buddhist leader the Dalai Lama has stated?
                            1. Dalai Lama has said: Buddha would have helped the Rohingya Muslims who are fleeing violence in Buddhist-majority Burma. I think such circumstances Buddha would definitely help to those poor Muslims. The plight of the minority group made me “very sad”.
                              1. Those who are harassing Muslims "should remember Buddha”.
                            2. The de facto leader of Myanmar, Aung San Suu Kyi, has spoken out over violence against Rohingyas.
                              1. She said: 'Muslims and Buddhish’s reactions are based on fear, and that’s what is leading to all those troubles. Prejudice and hatred are not removed easily, but we can work at it together. I’m confident that the great mayority of the people of this country want peace.’
                                1. However, she has been strongly critizised for not condemning the violence.
