  1. Draw pictures to show patterns based on the words (tall, short, colors, etc.)
Monday
1. 15' - Circle Time
  1. Morning Message: It is Monday. There are ___ boys at school today. There are ___ girls at school today.
2. 45' (ELA): ONGOING (G.W.) Explain to the students they will retell or summarize The Name Jar
  1. Emphasize that every story has a beginning/middle/end
  2. They can make a presentation, song, poster, drawings etc.
3. 45' (Math): ONGOING (N.) Review the meaning of core, pattern and attributes. Ask kids to write the definition with their own words in the notebook.
  1. Add to the Word Wall: core, pattern and attributes

Tuesday
1. 15' - Circle Time
  1. Morning Message: It is Tuesday. There are ___ girls at school. There are ___ boys at school today. There are ___ students absent today.
2. 30' (ELA): Shared Reading/Writing: Name Song
  1. Introduce the song by pointing to the words and chanting the song.
  2. On second reading, encourage the students to sing and perform the actions.
  3. Ask the students to think about other actions that could be used in the song. Add their ideas to the chart Engage the students in thinking about how to write the words.
3. 15' Modeling / 1h Centers:
  1. 1. (T. Nati) Guided Reading - Running Records./ Library
  2. 2. ONGOING (C,M.)Create patterns with 2 attributes using playdough

Name Card Activities: Read each name and check picture on other side to confirm • Sort into groups - boys/girls, long names/short names • Match names that begin/end with the same letter • Count the number of letters in their own names and match names that have the same number of letters • Put in order shortest to longest
    1. Ask Débora to type their names ans take pictures of the kids to print and create the cards

5. 25' (ELA): ONGOING (D.) - Review the Classroom Community Y Chart and ask students to think about what they have learned about the importance of building their own classroom community.

  2. Show the video "For the bird" and aks students to make connections with the theme

  1. Next, introduce de poster Classifying. Explaing the meaning (when you sort things into groups). Model how you could sort animals (4 legs, color, habitat, etc.)
    1. ONGOING (N.) Explain with your own words what is classifying. Give two examples (write and draw)
