Into our studies, didactics and pedagogy have important roles to consider
because of our professional formation, so to understand those topics we need to
focus our attention on try to develop the didactical and pedagogical methods that
are going to help us in our professional future.
What´s Didactics?
Didactics in one of the Sciences of
Education. Particularly, this science
deals with the teaching-learning
process in the education field. It is
different from other Education
Sciences because of its focus the
attention on how teachers, learners
and knowledge interact during all the
process of education and how those
aspect support between them.
According to Dorozhkin, Zaitseva &
Tatarskikh, 2016:
"One of the important controversies which
have an impact on social and economic
develop ment of the society is the need for
specialists who could solve their professional
development issues on their own in order to
achieve better performance by means of
reflection mechanisms, and lack of techniques
for forming developed reflexive skills of future
specialists in the course of education".
For that,
People who are training to be
teachers have to notice many
aspects for their professional
future because the education field
is one of the most important into
social development. With criticism
and logical thinking while people
are preparing themselves as
teachers, a society could stand
out.
What´s Pedagogy?
Mark K. Smith explores the origins of pedagogy
and the often overlooked traditions of thinking
and practice associated with it. He argues that a
focus on teaching as a specialist role is best
understood in other ways. It means that the
pedagogy needs to be focused in a correct way
to use it with people who are learning, because
some characteristics of the pedagogy are
overlooked and the process of education
doesn´t reach an appropriate level.
As Pestalozzi constantly affirmed,
education is rooted in human nature; it
is a matter of head, hand and heart
(Brühlmeier 2010). We find identity,
meaning, and purpose in life ‘through
connections to the community, to the
natural world, and to spiritual values
such as compassion and peace’ (Miller
2000).
Education is raised on our roots
influence by the environment
and put it into our perspective
modified our ideologies making
connection with real life
situations
Often teachers fall, or are pushed, into
‘schooling’ – trying to drill learning into
people according to some plan often
drawn up by others. Paulo Freire (1972)
famously called this ‘banking’ – making
deposits of knowledge.
The roles and relationships of pedagogues
Plato talks about pedagogues as ‘men who by
age and experience are qualified to serve as
both leaders (hëgemonas) and custodians
(paidagögous)’ of children (Longenecker 1983:
53). Their role varied but two elements were
common (Smith 2006).
The first was to be
an accompanist or
companion
The second, and more
fundamental task in
relation to boys, was to
help them learn what it
was to be men.
Pedagogues are important pieces
into the education process, because
they work as guides of students.
They are able to take away the
student´s doubts, helping them
to acquire knowledge and use it
to improves their lives.
