Categorization of countries as core
or peripheral according to their economic activity
the core periphery model, in addition to the HDI allows us to
categorize countries and understand the socioeconomic differences
that exist between them
core countries engage in different economic activities in different countries and
this way expand their markets through multinational corporations
They also design new technologies that make these activities easier.
examples are: Germany, France, The united states, Australia and Sweden
Peripheral countries have economic activities with little technological development,
which is why they manufacture industrial products with comercial value
The semi-peripheral countries are: Argentina, Brazil, India, China and Mexico
