Treatment
1. Experienced a metacognitive listening strategy training (MLST)
2. Integrated to the same listening classes and same course otline
3. Ss were provided a list of metacognitive strategies (what,when,how to use)
4. Class Instructions with Pedagogic Cycle
5. Regular checklist for Ss focused on pre and after listening

1. LCT: Listening Comprehension Test: Developed by researcher, validated
2. MLSQ: Metacognitive Listening Strategy Questionnaire
Analysis
1. Results from instruments analysed using SPSS
  1. EDA: Exploratory Data Analysis tool
  2. Analysis of covariance: ANCOVA

Resuts
1. RQ1
  1. ANCOVA: No significant difference in the listening test scores in both groups.
2. RQ2
  1. Significant difference in both groups: ExpG significantly used more strategies after the training compared to CtrGr.
