On november 22, 1963, President Jonh F. Kennedy was shot and killed in Dallas, Texas, and the United States was plunged into mourning.
The first day he arrived he realized that it was a very populated place and when he got to school it cost him a little because the language they spoke there was not his first language, English was spoken there, although in his other school he was A student with a very good average, his average was A but he is very nervous because he did not want to feel rejected. but he felt lost in all that crowd because he knew no one.
For her the only nice thing of the year was that Eugene and his family had moved into the only house on the block that had a yard and trees, and she could see his place from the window.
The day President Kennedy was shot there was a profundsilence in El Building; even the abusive tongues of vigaroes, the cursing of the unemployed, and screeching of small children had been somehow muted
The day Mr. Depalma came out to the well and asked them to get in the front row when was the day President Kennedy was shot.
The day that president Kennedy was shot, her ninth grade class went out to play; the girls where playing jump the rope and the black girls where abusing her because she didn´t jump the rope correctly and they called her skinny nones and other offensive things.
The president was killed. So Judith and her mother must show respect because he was a great man. At night they should go to the church.
For the next few days they observe luto in their apartment. They are not allowed to put loud music or laughter. Some of the women of el Building would wear black for weeks.
