• Are one of the hottest and driest places on Earth. Temperatures are very high during the day, and very low at night. Cacti and camels adapt well to these conditions.

         • Grow mostly near the Mediterranean Sea. They are home to animals like the linx. The flora includes cork oaks or rosemary.

      • In tropical areas, is home to zebras or lions. Some common trees are the acacia tree or the baobab tree.
   3. Temperate Grasslands

      • Grow in colder areas, such as steppes or prairies, are home to animals like wolves.
2. Tundra

   Annotations:

   • Tundra is the coldest and driest ecosystem on Earth. There are no trees here, but there are grasses and mosses. Is home to polar bears or reindeers.
   1. Tropical Rainforests

      Annotations:

      • Forests in tropical areas are warm and wet all year long.They are home to over half the animal and plant species on Earth.
