Past Simple
1. Uses
  1. Actions that happened in the past and doesnt continue in present
  2. For sentences in which the idea, act, or state has already been completed.
  3. Can be used to describe a series of actions in the past
  4. You can use it to talk about repeated or habitual actions in the past
  5. To talk about generalities or facts of the past

  1. Affirmative
    1. Subject + verb in the past (regular verbs / irregular verbs / To be verb / To have verb) + complement.
      1. Example
        I visited my family last summer
        He went to the cinema yesterday
  2. Negative
    1. Subject + didn’t + infinitive verb + complement
      1. Example
        He didn't pass the exam
  3. Question
    1. Did + subject + verb in infinitive + complement +?
      1. Example
        Did you go to the theatre?
    2. Short Answers
      1. Affirmative
        Yes +, + subject + infinitive verb
        Example
