  1. Community composition changes over time. The study of succession adresses this change, which can be influenced by the enviroment, biotic interactions.
    1. TYPES
      1. Primary Succession: the series of changes that occurs in an areawhere no soilor organism exists. Example: soil creation, pioneer species, vlcanic eruption, fertile soil and maturing plants.
        1. Secondary Succession: the series of changes that occurs in an área where the ecosystem has been disturbed, but soil and organisms exists. Example: hurricanes, fires, tornados, human activities, such as farming.
