The structure of the simple past in regular verbs:
subject+ past tense, ending *ed*
-I played tennis yesterday.
-He danced with me.
-We finally mailed the letter.
for verbs that end in *e* add *D*
whe the verbs ends in a consonant the letters are repeated less *Y,W*
with verbs that end in *Y* added *ie*
The structure of irregular verbs
The verb change when in past. Ex:
-I ate lunch at noon today.
-He drove to work yesterday
-We went shopping to the mall and I bought clothes
In negative sentences, the auxiliary verb be in the past (did
and the main verb is the infinitive.
-I didn´t go to salamanca last month.
-She didn´t do the homerwork yesterday.
-We didn´t walk every day.
