      1. WHAT YOU DO IN THIS SPORT : Swimming is an individual or team sport and activity. Competitive swimming is one of the most popular Olympic sports, with events in butterfly, backstroke, breaststroke, freestyle, and individual medley. In addition to these individual events, Olympic swimmers also participate in relays. Swimmers can also compete in open-water events.It is made by the propulsion of the body through water by combined arm and leg motions and the natural flotation of the body.
        1. Is swimming a dangerous sport? Definitely a dangerous sport! Pepole have gotten concussions and stress fractures. Someone has hit their head on the diving board, people also slip on the pool deck and broke their wrist.
          1. Why do people like swimming? People think that is refreshing, it doesn't stress your knees ankles as much as other sports, it works every muscle in your body, you can swim all year round if you want.

Important information about swimming Interesting facts: • Swimming started in the 1st century. • Over 50% of world-class swimmers suffer from shoulder pain. • Swimming has been a part of the Olympics since 1896. • Some people think swimming started when a person fell into the water and panicking, he started to swim in a way we call today dog paddle. • Egyptians made a picture or symbol for swimming as far back as 2500 A. • Peanuts are a source of energy for swimmers. • Drags slow you down in swimming because they are not skin tight.
