The Causative form is used to say
that we have arranged for someone
to do something for us, or that we'll
do it for ourselves.
Types of Causative
There are 2 types of
Causative: Active and
Passive. Active is
used for when you
ask someone to do
something, while
passive is when you
do something, and this
alters the structure
of the phrase
how do we use it
It depends on
the form we're
using, if it's
active, we build
the phrase like
this: Subject +
Causative verb
+ person/object
+ verb + object
but if it's
passive, is like
this: Subject +
Causative verb
+ object + verb
(past participle)
it is often used for when you ask
some who is dedicated to that
thing (a barber, painter, etc), but it
also can be used with other
people, or even objects
