L.A.N stands for local area network
Its in the local area e.g. around a school.
The advantages of a computer network
Allows communication between workers or students
Allows data to be shared
Allows printers to be shared
Allows computers to be upgraded easier
The disadvantages with a computer network
Need a technician to look after it all
If the switch breaks everything break
Expensive to install
If one node gets a virus it can very quickly spread to all the others in the network
