Resource summary

The Life Cycle of Stars
  1. 1). Stars form from clouds of gas and dust called NEBULAS
    1. 2). The force of GRAVITY pulls the dust together, and then the gravitational energy is converted into heat energy
      1. 3). When it is HOT enough hydrogen nuclei join together to make helium nuclei (ALOT of energy is given out)
        1. 4). A MAIN SEQUENCE STAR is formed in a stable period of pressure
          1. 5). The hydrogen in the core eventually runs out, it then swells into a RED GIANT
            1. 6). The star then becomes unstable and throws out its outer layer of dust and gas
              1. 7). A hot, dense solid core - A WHITE DWARF, which cools down and then fades
