In California,a woman named Neta Snook gave Amelia flying lessons
After Neta taught her how to fly she bought her own plane and set a record
Amelia's full name is Amelia Mary Earhart
Acomplishments
In 1932 she became the first woman to fly across the Atlantic alone
She flew from Newfoundland to Ireland.Her flight lasted 14 hours and 56 minutes
She showed that women can do anything that men can do

Amelia was the first person to successfully fly solo from Hawaii to California
When Amelia was 7 she made her roller coaster in her backyard
To pay for her flying lessons,she worked as a photographer,stenographer and a truck driver
she was a volunteer nurse in World War 1
The flight and disappearance
In 1937,Amelia amd her navigator Fredrick Noonan set to fly around the world
then the plane broke down in Hawaii
then they flew to Miami and then Puerto Rico and landed in New Guinea
Then the 2 left and started the journey to cross the Pacific
Then Amelia reported empty fuel tanks but contact failed
As a result,the plane probably crashed into the ocean and the 2 died.

After High School,Amelia went to Columbia university to study medicine
Until 7th grade,Amelia was homeschooled by her mother
