1-4 lumens
treat as dedicated line
7 day dressing change
1. minimise exposure
2. minimise infection
Catheter related blood stream infection
100% competency in theory and in practice
Positive pressure valves
1. Flush no clamp
Complications
1. thrombosis
2. Blood stream infection
3. Local irritation
4. air embolism
5. kinks in the line
Bio patch- blue to the sky
Normal bung
1. Flush + CLAMP
10mL syringe with 8mL Push Flush post all IV
1. even after IVF infusion flush
2. Maintaining positive pressure
