  1. Why called bronze age?
    1. Danish museum in Copenhagen wanted to organise items into collections.
      1. Bronze = copper & tin
        1. Other metals can be included, e.g. lead to make it flow into moulds better, however not true bronze now
          1. Flint knife would pierce bronze as it's harder
            1. Bronze = soft
        2. Bronze casting
          1. Probably found out accidentally
            1. Low melting point
              1. Can be poured
                1. Goes in green, comes out shiny
                  1. Moulds chipped out of stone
                  2. Pottery used
                    1. More variety in patterns
                      1. Sometimes tied string around wet pottery to create a pattern
                      2. Uses
                        1. Food vessels
                          1. Beakers
                            1. Urns
