Dark Figure of Crime
  1. The Dark Figure of Crime is where there is ceratin stats that we don't find out about from the statistics.
    1. This could be because people don't report crime. This could be because a range of reasons, for example, it could be out of embarrassment - which is the Feminist Theory. Or, it could be because you are afraid of the social stigma of becoming a snitch.
      1. This could be because people don't record crime, the police. This could be because of trying to cover up crime, to make themselves look good. Or not reporting crime for a certain class, becaue you are biased.
        1. Social Theory.... Marx says that the police are biased against the working class. So if you are working class, the police are more likely to record a crime that you have committed rather than an upper class individual.
