1. The natural resource category Agriculture is found most in all the provinces and territories
except Nunavut. The natural resource category Fossil Fuels is only found in 3 provinces,
Saskatchewan, Alberta, and British Colombia. The natural resource category Hydroelectricity is
found in 5 provinces and territories, British Colombia, Manitoba, Ontario, Quebec, and NFAL(
Newfoundland and Labrador). The natural resource category Fishing is found most in all the
provinces and territories. The natural resource category Minerals and Metals is found in all
provinces and territories. The natural resource category Forestry is found in all of the provinces
and territories. From all of this, Forestry, Minerals and Metals, and Fishing are the resources that
are found in every province and territory.
2. I think Canada has such an abundance of natural resources because these natural resources are an important
piece of Canada's wealth, generating income, employment, and exports. Canada is the third largest oil deposits
after Venezuela and Saudi Arabia. Canada is also the lead supplier of natural gas and phosphate and is the third
largest exporter of timber.
3. Some provinces and territories have a lot of natural resources because they can farm land there, they
can get fossil fuels, they can have space/waterfalls for hydroelectricity and more. Another reason why some
provinces and territories have a lot of natural resources is that they might have enough money for these
things. Some provinces and territories have little amounts of natural resources because they might not
have land to farm, they can't get fossil fuels, and they might not have waterfalls/space for hydroelectricity.
Another reason is that they might not have enough money or the right temperatures there.
4. The government should help out provinces that are not rich in natural resources because in
some provinces and territories they can have some things in there provinces and territories. For
example, the government can give them what they need like fossil fuels, agriculture land,
hydroelectricity, and more. The government should consider not to help provinces and territories
that are not rich in natural resources because some provinces and territories might not have the
right temperatures to have agriculture farms and more. For example, Nunavut cant grow food and
can't have agriculture farms there because it is too cold there. Some provinces and territories can't
have hydroelectricity there and fossil fuels there because they might not have enough space or
money for hydroelectricity and they might not have any fossil fuels or money to mine fossil fuels
there.
5. Gold is found across the Canadian shield, in British Colombia and Nunavut,
and on the island of Newfoundland. Gold is used for jewelry, electronics, official
coins, and more like dentistry or awards. I use gold for my computer and for my
brother's computer because in several parts of the computer there is some gold
in the parts.
