      4. More likely to have smaller number of applicants
      5. Can encourage career progression
   2. Disadvantage
      1. Limited choice of candidates
      2. May cause problems among employees due to the change (jealousy among staff)
      3. Employees may be stuck in their ways (no fresh ideas or processes)
      4. May not generate new ideas
      5. The successful candidate will need to be replaced, needing another recruitment plan

   1. Disadvantages
      1. Takes longer
      2. Person appointed may not be as good as they appear
      3. More expensive to advertise
   2. Advantages
      1. Higher number of candidates
      2. Candidates may have new ideas
      3. Potential for new skills to be bought into the organisation
