Using New Media
Technologies to Collect
Audience Feedback
SurveyMonkey
We used SurveyMonkey in
order to create a survey that
could be easily accessed by
audiences
Once the survey is
complete, it can be shared
by the web address
generated for you
It is also easily
embedded into
Blogger
This was a useful tool for
feedback as it allowed for both
qualitative and quantitative data
It also keeps feedback anonamous,
which meant that data could be
truthful and non biased
However, this can also be
disadvantageous as some people write
irrelevant and jokey answers, as well
as possibly lying about some factors
An advantage of using this new
technology over a traditional
survey is that it collects all the
data into one place, and allows
you to analyse it in charts and
graphs so it is easy to compare
The online factor is also useful as it's
incredibly easy to share, and collecting a
larger sample of data is simple
Soundcloud
This was very useful as it allowed me to keep an
online record of audio feedback that would
otherwise had to have been in note form
Being online, this was accessible on
various platforms for example
through an app on my phone. This
made data analysis very easy.
It was also useful to collect responses
from people who do not enjoy filling
out tedious surveys online
I used Soundcloud to record and
share audience feedback of the
ancillary products
As it can be embedded into
Blogger, Soundcloud was easy to
display on my blog
Facebook
We all used Facebook to share
the music video along with the
survey on Surveymonkey
This was very useful as it
allowed us to directly target
people we knew would
watch the video
It is also quick and instant, meaning that
moving from Facebook to Surveymonkey is
really easy for the audience
It is, however, limited to our Facebook friends
But it has the potential to be
shared, as social media is best for
