Because Germany was forced to give lots of money.
Germany was forced to say that they started the war.(WW1)
Because of all the money they had to pay; they ended up going through hyper inflation.
They didn't want to pay.
The army got smaller.
They had to have a democrosy put in. (Weimar Republic.)
Renamed.
They wasn't very good at their job.
One of their massive industry centre which created a lot of money got taken from them.
After the war Germany got smaller, a lot of the land was taken from Germany and given to near by european countries.
