Stands for Cascading Style Sheets
Describes how elements are displayed on the screen, paper or other media
It saves lots of time as it can control the display of many web pages at once.
It can be added to HTML elements in 3 different ways
Inline
Used to apply a unique style to a single HTML element
Uses the style attribute of a HTML element
The example sets the text colour of the HTML element to blue
External
The external style sheet is used to define the style for many HTML pages
With an external style sheet,you can change the look of an entire web site, by changing one file!
To use an external style sheet, add a link to it in the <head> section if the HTML page.
Internal
An internal CSS is used to define a style for a single a HTML page.
An internal CSS is defines in the <head> section of a HTML page, within a <style> element
