  1. 450 Billion years ago
    1. Made of molten rocks and minerals. Lots of volcanos releasing CO2, H2O (g) and N2.
      1. The earth cooled and the steam fell as rain These where topped up by commets crashing into the earth
        1. Mainly carbon dioxide
      2. 3.4 billion years ago
        1. Simple bacteria appeered which was able to make food for its self by breaking down other chemicals
          1. Algae evolved
            1. Algae was able to use the suns energy to carry out photosynthesis and produced oxygen as a waste product which slowly built up in the atmosphear
          2. 2 billion years ago
            1. More plants evolved and with rising leavels of oxygen so did animal species
              1. The early microorganisms died out as they couldn't cope with the high leavels of oxygen
